A Blue Origin suborbital spacecraft with NASA equipment has been launched in the United States

18 cargos are placed on board the ship, 11 of which are reserved for NASA.

The launch vehicle with the New Shepard suborbital spacecraft of Blue Origin launched on Thursday in unmanned mode with equipment from the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) on board. The broadcast is carried out on the company’s website.

The launch of the suborbital vehicle from the spaceport near the American city of Van Horn (Texas) took place at 10:31 on the East Coast of the United States. A total of 18 cargoes are placed on board the ship; 11 of them are reserved for NASA.

As part of the suborbital flight, which will last about 10 minutes, instruments will be tested, which will later be used in future lunar missions of the space administration. Among them are a lidar and a computer responsible for lowering and landing.

New Shepard also became a canvas for the work of an artist from Ghana. Amoako Boafo depicted a “Suborbital Triptych” on the capsule, capturing himself, his mother, and his friend’s mother on the ship’s skin.
