A 5.7 magnitude earthquake has struck the Philippines

A 5.7-magnitude earthquake has struck the southern Philippines, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS).

The earthquake was recorded at 17.32 UTC. The epicenter was located 80 kilometers east of the city of Butuan on the island of Mindanao. The hearth lay at a depth of 39 kilometers.

Information about possible victims and destruction was not received.
