Unknown shot dozens of people at a food festival in the United States

Unknown opened fire at the annual garlic festival in Gilroy, California, USA. NBC News reported.

It is known that the man entered the festival, cutting the wire fence. Around 17:41, he started shooting. He managed to kill three people and injure about 15 others before he was killed by the police who arrived on the scene in less than a minute.

According to eyewitnesses, the perpetrator was a white male in his 30s, wearing camouflage trousers. He shot the visitors of the festival with a rifle. Witnesses reported that he did not aim at anyone on purpose and shot in all directions.

Dozens of police officers are working on the spot: in particular, they are checking the unconfirmed information that the shooter had an accomplice.

The city police opened a hotline for people who are looking for their relatives, as well as for witnesses to the incident.
