At least one person was killed, 10 were rescued from a wrecked boat off the coast of San Diego (California, USA) in the La Jolla area. This was reported on Thursday by the local branch of the Fox News channel, citing the authorities.

According to the TV channel, the victims were taken to shore, the life of one of them could not be saved, and eight people were sent to the hospital.

The incident occurred at about 5: 30 local time. The Border Patrol informed San Diego lifeguards of the presence of people in the water. There were about 15-18 people in the sunken boat.

According to local authorities, traffickers allegedly used the wrecked boat.
