Fossil unveiled its Gen 5 smartwatch back in 2019, so it’s long overdue for a successor in the Fossil Gen 6.
The company has created a promo page on its website, which unfortunately does not give an official announcement date. However, it is confirmed by an email sent by Fossil with a countdown timer. According to him, the presentation will take place in the early morning of August 30, that is, tomorrow.
In addition, the company posted a teaser video on its Facebook page that gives us a glimpse of Gen 6.
We will remind, recently the Amazon online store revealed the technical characteristics and prices of the new model. The watch will receive a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100+ processor and will run the WearOS operating system. But that’s not Wear OS 3, introduced in May. The OS will appear on Fossil smartwatches as an update sometime next year.
In addition, Fossil Gen 6 is credited with a 1.28-inch OLED screen with Always-On function, water resistance up to 50 meters, 24 hours battery life, heart rate monitor, blood oxygen sensor and built-in GPS. The watch will cost from 300 to 330 euros.
